Uncertain about returning to Church?
St Mary’s is ventilated with copious amounts of alcohol gel and is regularly cleaned. If worried about numbers attending, a quiet Mass is Monday at 7pm…… and every day is still a Sunday!

St Mary’s Roadmap to Pentecost:
Fr Peter writes: “St Mary’s has its own Roadmap to ease us out of Lockdown….
1. Sunday 8:30am Mass has been re- introduced for 1st Holy Communion families. Classes begin after Mass.
2. From now until Pentecost (weekend of 23rd May) myself or Holly will zoom or meet with 7 groups within the parish as we reform St Mary’s ready for June and the final thawing of lockdown restrictions. The groups are: the SVP, Parish Council, the Incensed Group, Readers, Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Servers and Musicians. Seven groups to represent the 7 gifts of the Holy Spirit…. imparted at Pentecost.
3. The Stations of the Cross will now change to the “Stations of the Resurrection” and before Pentecost they will become “Stations of the Holy Spirit”
4. We will attempt to celebrate Pentecost in true St Mary’s style with something special using the small hall and the terraced gardens. More details to follow”
This Weekend is Good Shepherd Sunday:
Let us keep in our prayers those discerning a vocation to priesthood and remember in our prayers those from this parish who are serving the diocese: Fr Robert Plourde, Fr Mehal Lowry and Fr Michael O’Boy.
Priest Training Fund
This Sunday is Good Shepherd Sunday and our second collection will support the Priest Training Fund. This fund pays for the priestly formation of men for the Catholic priesthood. There are currently 42 men studying at Allen Hall seminary, 18 of whom are for our own Diocese, and two of these are studying in Rome. Last year two men who studied at Allen Hall and one who studied in Rome were ordained to the priesthood to serve as our future priests. The fund also supports the ongoing enrichment and formation of our ordained priests. Your gift ensures we can provide training for these men responding to Christ’s call to dedicate their lives to serve God’s people. Please be as generous as you can. Please also pray for vocations and for all our priests. If you do not have a donation leaflet, plenty are still available in the church. You can donate online anytime at www.rcdow.org.uk/donations.
